Bumplings™ is made by Layne Verbeek, an individual developer in Ontario, Canada. It collects almost nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party code in the app. It uses two Apple services: the App Store for purchases, and Game Center for leaderboards if you are signed in.
I do not collect personal information: no names, emails, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or location. The game has no servers of its
own. It connects only to Apple — to the App Store when you buy or restore Prisms, and to Game Center if you are signed in (see sections 4 and 5).
Your level progress and stars, Prism balance, hearts, boosters, streaks, purchase history, a log of your level attempts, and settings are saved on your device only. I cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes all of it. If you use iCloud device backup, that backup may include
this data; it belongs to you and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
If Bumplings™ crashes, iOS may keep a crash log. Whether Apple shares it with me is controlled by your own setting (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers). Those logs come to me through Apple with no identifying information, and I use them only to fix the crash. The version line at the bottom of the game's Settings can copy your build number, iOS version and device model to your clipboard for a bug report. Nothing is sent unless you paste it into a message yourself.
**Send my play data.** Settings → Send my play data lets you share a file of your level attempts with me: for each attempt, when it was played, the level, the result, the time taken, pieces, score, stars, tries, the hearts and Prisms you held, and the level's forecast. It contains no name, email or device identifier. It leaves your phone only when you choose to send it, by email or another app you pick, and I use it only to fix problems and balance the game. Email me and I will delete it.
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. I never see your payment details or your Apple Account, and any data involved is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
If you are signed in to Game Center, the furthest level you have reached and the number of levels you have won this week are sent to Apple's Game Center under your Game Center nickname. They appear on the leaderboards in the game, where other players can see them. Game Center is optional and the game is complete without it; you can sign out in iOS Settings → Game Center. Apple holds this data under Apple's privacy policy; I see only what any player sees on the leaderboards.
Bumplings™ collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Game Center and purchases follow the settings a parent chooses for a child's Apple Account. Parents can restrict in-app purchases with Screen Time (Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions).
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page and linked from Settings in the game.
